"We help abandoned animals and believe that each and every life is precious, deserving to be treated humanely with the chance to live happily and cruelly free.

We do not have a HQ and therefore we are unable to collect the animals from the street, but we rescue them when possible and send them to veterinary care, then the animals stay in temporary homes.

On social media we post adoption requests, photos of lost animals, found animals and stories of solidarity."

Grupo de Apoio e Proteção Animal

GAPA was founded in 2016 in the city of Campina Grande, based on the mutual interest of the members of the group in transforming the reality of animals living on the streets.

Formed by independent protectors, GAPA members act on a voluntary basis, both individually and collectively.

Among the group's collective actions are: holding thrift events, selling raffles and adoption fairs.

All amounts collected in the actions are reversed in favor of the animal cause, covering the cost of veterinary expenses for the rescued animals, medication, food, and castration.

Through GAPA, hundreds of animals were given new homes and underwent sterilization, thus minimizing the number of abandoned animals in the city.
